Congratulations Steelers. The best team this year definitely won! Of course next year, it'll be the Steelers getting beat 3x in a season...

Congrats, ElBro!
It was a good game, wasn't it?
Glad it wasn't a blow-out.

You'd better send a big THANK YOU card to the refs for the hack job they did on the Cardinals.

No the refs did not job the Cardinals.

OK BG -- when was the last time you heard the call "running over the holder" or saw a game ended without a review on a forward incomplete pass vs. a fumble? And roughing the passer??? PLEEEEAAAAAASE!!!
Comment by — 2009/02/02 @ 02:48 PM — (Reply)
I have to admit some of the calls were questionable BUT none of them really amounted to anything
I smell a lot of sore losers in the room
the Steelers got 3 points regardless of the 'running over the holder call'
and the roughing the passer call I've been pissed about all season because they've consistently called in my mind ticky tack fouls BUT it's been all season they've done that not just this game

I've always kept saying that the quarterback wears a uniform too if he can't be tackled then why does he wear pads?

Getting beat by the drive of the year topped off by the catch of the year, make that all time catch, takes some of the sting away, still sucks though.
After Fitzgerald's TD, I really thought we were the Super Bowl Champs, still an awesome year for the Cardinals.

I couldn't watch the rest of the game...I only came back into the room after I heard the other Steelers fans in my house getting excited.
Still I wouldn't have minded losing to the Cardinals...being an Arizonan made this all the more difficult. IF the Cardinals had played anyone but the Steelers I would have been rooting for Warner and Company.

Why was the last play for the Cardinals not reviewed if the refs weren't in the tank for the Steelers? Obama must be a Steeler fan.

In all fairness, Ben did a great job running around and still completing passes against all odds. And the touchdown pass to Santonio Holmes was one of the nicest I've ever seen. I'm very happy for you Elbro. My teams the Chiefs anyway but I was hoping for the Cardinals to win as I'm usually on the side of the underdog.
Comment by Papa Frank— 2009/02/03 @ 11:18 AM — (Reply)
and I told people beforehand that losing to the Cardinals would hurt a lot less than to other teams
Kurt Warner is a class act and everyone here is Arizona was very excited to not be the perennial door mat this year
It was MUCH more important to the Cards fans than I think it was to this Steeler fan

The buzz around town here is that the Chiefs are going to name Todd Haley their head coach by Friday. I hope the buzz is right.
