God can use us, even the weak things.

Remember, dear brothers and sisters, that few of you were wise in the world’s eyes or powerful or wealthy when God called you.  Instead, God chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise. And he chose things that are powerless to shame those who are powerful. God chose things despised by the world, things counted as nothing at all, and used them to bring to nothing what the world considers important.

  5. nanc - the LOTR movies are actually quite moving and I find many Biblical types while watching...

    My latest posts have meant to encourage my friends to persevere even when the odds seem incredible

  11. ElBro, your posts have been encouraging, politically, and otherwise to me.
    I appreciate you posting these things.
    I love the LOTR movies. Tolkien and C S Lewis were both great men and have both had an impact on my life.

    It's hot and muggy here, as well. I'll be watching the fireworks on TV tonight.
