On the Turntable - Sixpence None the Richer
This is a remake of a song by the La's. The La's version was part of the 'So I Married an Axe Murderer' soundtrack, one of my favorite movies. But I digress...I was heartbroken when they broke up. I have read that they may be getting back together.
and Leigh Nash....she is beautiful.

Their name is taken from Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis.
paraphrased from their website
A little boy asks his father if he can get a sixpence - a very small amount of English currency - to go and get a gift for his father. The father gladly accepts the gift and he's really happy with it, but he also realizes that he's not any richer for the transaction. C.S. Lewis was comparing that to his belief that God has given him, and us, the gifts that we possess, and to serve Him the way we should, we should do it humbly...realizing how we got the gifts in the first place. World-renowned theologian C. S. Lewis provided a fitting foundation for the impressive platform Sixpence None the Richer built to change the world. Following in Lewis' footsteps, Sixpence understood that to reach people, one must communicate in their language, and do so with honest imagination. And each, in word or song, gained the ear of their generation, conveying orthodox truths to a waiting, watching audience without ever compromising art or thought.
Sixpence None The Richer - There She Goes
There she goes again
Racin through my brain
And i just can't contain
This feelin that I've made
There she goes
There she goes again
Pulsin through my veins
And i just can't contain
This feelin that I've made
There she goes(there she goes again)
There she goes again(there she goes again)
Racing through my brain(there she goes again)
And i just can't contain
This feelin that I've made
There she goes
There she goes again
She calls my name
Pulls my train
No one else could heal my pain
And i just can't contain
This feelin that I've made
There she goes(she calls my name)
There she goes again(she calls my name)
Chasin down my lane(she calls my name)
And i just can't contain
This feelin that I've made
There she goes(there she goes again)
There she goes(there she goes again)
There she goes

I forgot to mention, but you've probably all deduced is that they are a Christian band.

I said I LOVE her hair (how it got underlined in my comment is beyond me, but I like the emphasis!) I keep asking my hair dresser to quit making me look so "princess Diana-ish" and MESS IT UP. She doesn't. and I can't.
Christian band. GOOD.

A great cover of a great song. Written by Lou Reed and recorded by the Velvet Underground back in 1968. REM also did a nice cover of it.

There she goes again
She's out on the streets again
She's down on her knees, my friend
But you know she'll never ask you please again
Now take a look, there's no tears in her eyes
She won't take it from just any guy, what can you do
You see her walkin' on down the street
Look at all your friends she's gonna meet
You better hit her
There she goes again
She's knocked out on her feet again
She's down on her knees, my friend
But you know she'll never ask you please again
Now take a look, there's no tears in her eyes
Like a bird, you know she would fly, what can you do
You see her walkin' on down the street
Look at all your friends that she's gonna meet
You better hit her
Now take a look, there's no tears in her eyes
Like a bird, you know she will fly, fly, fly away
See her walking on down the street
Look at all your friends that she's gonna meet
She's gonna bawl and shout
She's gonna work it
She's gonna work it out, bye bye
Bye bye baby
All right

from Wikipedia
"There She Goes Again" is a song by The Velvet Underground. It first appeared on their 1967 debut album The Velvet Underground and Nico. The syncopated guitar riff is taken from the 1962 Marvin Gaye song, "Hitch Hike", but is most likely influenced by The Rolling Stones' cover version, from their 1965 album Out of Our Heads. Apparently, the lyrics are an ode to a tough, seductive street walker.
A cover of the song appeared as a B-side on the 1983 REM single ,"Radio Free Europe".

Of course not. The song in question is similar in both style and title to the Reed song I was thinking of, so I got them confused. It has been about 15 years or so since I played that old REM CD.

ElBro, So I Married An Ax Murderer is my absolute favorite movie....well, my favorite comedy!...beautiful, bemused, bellicose, butcher.
Last time Sweetheart and I went to SF, we hit all the spots in the flick. Even the coffee shop and the bookstore. Cool! I was bummed to learn that there is no Jack Kerouac street. There should be.
And I love Sixpence. The La's version is good, too.
Good to know Sixpence might be getting back together. Her voice is angelic.
