General and Colonel Malaise
We can't go on consuming 40 percent more energy than we produce. When we import oil we are also importing inflation plus unemployment."
"We've got to use what we have. The Middle East has only 5 percent of the world's energy, but the United States has 24 percent."
Jimmy Carter (Famous malaise speech)

“We can’t drive our SUVs and eat as much as we want and keep our homes on 72 degrees at all times.”
Barack Obama preaching to his disciples
I'm not the only who noticed this. I'd really like to know what Mr. Obama means? Is he going to dictate the kind of vehicle we can drive? How much we can drive? How cool we can keep our homes?
Heaven help us!

You and I are on the same wavelength... Obama is now channeling the spirit of Jimmy Carter's "malaise"...

"rotten" is right, riff.
The answer to your question is "YES", Elbro. They'll want to be on EVERYTHING we do, tell us what to eat, how to breathe, who to give our money to, and how to hate self reliance and mock love of country. MAN. And Obama's above McCain in national polls. Still, there are months to go...................
