10. Everythings good now. Tuesday will be the last day of moarning. Pop's will make his last Port'o Call. I think I will be traveling to SD more often. Its too expensive to live anywhere near there but it seems to be a short distance from Tucson or Pheonix as compared to the distance from east Texas.

11. I can get to SD in about 5 1/2 hours from my house just outside Phoenix.
    
    I miss SD..I loved it there...it was just too expensive to stay there when I retired.

14. The financial news programs are saying the housing market will hit bottom and level out. No speculation on when that will occur, 1-2 years ? anybodies guess . But it doesnt help things if democrates take the whitehouse and continue with thier ignore problems at home and send support abroad. Thats just plain wrong on all levels.

16. I don't think "speculators" or those with 2nd homes should be bailed out. I think those who had some initially low adjustables should be offered the option by the lender to cap out at 6% or let the lender have the house. If they can't afford 65 they were gready when they bought the house and don't deserve my charity. The banks made the profits and should take the losses. Not the taxpayers. Not me. Not you.

    Last time I was in DC it was on a 4th of July - there was a smoke out going on and maybe a million people walking around getting obliterated. I have a distinct memory of walking up inside the Lincoln Memorial and slamming a beer right at Lincoln's feet while watching the sea of people outside as far as you could see - and realizing i was the only person inside the thing.
    
    As long as no fake RP supporters start a riot to give them an excuse - they shouldn't have to bust out the sound weapons. But I wouldn't put anything past THEM - specially while they have all the patriots together in one spot

29. It was a couple thousand people smoking weed and calling for legalization. Cops stood around them all in a circle and randomly grabbed one near the edge every so often and threw them in a paddy wagon. I just passed through that, of course, on my way to the fireworks.

    My sis took her two teenaged sons to a FooFighters concert 2 weeks ago and they had to sit in the nose bleed section. She and her husband had to ask the kids not to breathe too deeply!!

    Did you ever see Oliver Stone's Nixon - where Nixon showed up incognito at the Lincoln Memorial late at night at started asking the hippies hanging around why they hated him so much?
