    What a wonderful story!
    
    I have a heart for these autistic kids. As a teacher, I've seen my share of the high-functioning ones, some of whom have special gifts (music, techie stuff, etc., right brain functions).
    
    Merry Christmas, EB. The family will be descending on me in a few hours. I'm almost ready--after a week of chaos with getting the living room painted (at the last minute), arguing with the county (suing me!), doc and vet appointments, editing college-apps essays.
    
    What a week!
