The Dr. even got KSU to pay for his return trip....I hope Al Ain was worth it.
The funny part is KSU was worried about bad publicity..bad publicity?

KENT, Ohio (AP) - A Kent State University professor who has written sympathetically about Mideast suicide bombers is back in the news.
The history department chairman has been removed for approving a six-week mid-semester leave for Julio Pino to attend a conference in the Persian Gulf.
The university says history chairman John Jameson failed to get approval for the leave from the dean. Jameson admits he failed to follow procedure and will stay on campus as a researcher.
Last March Kent State got a lot of angry letters when it was disclosed the Pino was a contributor to a Web site on Jihad religious war.
