  18. I've just been to the Mogollon Rim myself, courtesy of Google Earth!
I hope this was just a familiarisation trip, for later reference? Scouting bunker locations, perhaps? If it already has chillies and beer combined, we could be on to a good locale! But, there's a lot of other places we have to scout out first - starting in Montana and working our way down!

  20. Grav, the family is thinking about buying some property up there. It's the high country, pines, juniper and pinion trees. You'd like it, it'll make great bunker material.

Double thanks for posting the Spirit of America blog ad. I feel that it is a great way to wield the economic arsenal of democracy to bear down on the Baathist and Al Qaeda terrorists in Iraq.

Sometimes its not success or failure that matters, but whether or not you tried to pitch in at all.

Every little bit counts, thanks again.

  28. Say...I'm looking for a thousand acres where I can put a bunker on a pinnacle in the middle and surround it with a couple of golf courses. If you see anything promising keep me posted.

    Comment by Barry G.— 2007/07/29 @ 01:22 PM — (Reply)

  29. do you want sand in that bunker Barry?

Comment by Elmers Brother— 2007/07/29 @ 07:01 PM — (Reply)

  30. I wouldn't mind a little sand and water on the lower areas. The courses will need traps and ponds and the occasional murky swamp. One is going to be a links course, so I can use a little of the side of the mountain. No one will know about the bunker at the pinnacle. Needless to say the greens fees will be exhorbitant and it will be a Conservative members only club, membership to be granted only after a personally conducted background check and interview process.

  38. there is a piece of acreage (three or four acres i believe) not too far from ours that abuts lake bull shoals that was set up for a small course - has water, phone, electricity, septic and the most fantastic lake view you'll ever envision. it also has two pads set up for motorhomes.

    it's schweeeet!
