To my Brothers in Arms
For Memorial Day....to our Warriors who have taken and are taking the fight to the enemy...God Bless You and keep you and your families.
Our freedoms are a lasting tribute to those who have paid the ulitimate price and will only continue if there are those who are still willing to answer the call
Cowards die many times before their deaths;
The valiant never taste of death but once.
- William Shakespeare, Julius Ceaser Act II, sc. ii
Either life entails courage, or it ceases to be life.
- E.M. Forster, Pharos and Pharillon, “The Poetry of C.P. Cavafy
This is the art of courage: to see things as they are and still believe that the victory lies not with those who avoid the bad, but those who taste, in living awareness, every drop of the good.
- Victoria Lincoln, “The Art of Courage,” Vogue (October 1, 1952)
Because I have set my love upon Him, therefore He will deliver me;
He will set me on high because I have known His name.
I shall call upon Him, and He will answer me.
He will be with me in trouble; He will deliver me and honor me.
With long life He will satisfy me and show me His salvation.
Psalm 91:14-16

We owe those in uniform a huge debt. Sadly, I find that too many Americans are more concerned about cookouts and Memorial Day sales bargains than about the true meaning of the day.

AOW is right, it is very important that we Americans incorporate paying tribute to the fallen and past/present servicemen and women, a major thank you to EB and to all who have served.

I think I hit my head falling through the trap door! A little early to bed, tonight? I shouldn't talk, I'm good for about fifteen more minutes. See ya!
