Some of you know that I'm a huge movie fan. Mostly older movies and comedy teams e.g. Marx Brothers, Lewis and Martin, Abbott and Costello....Hope and Crosby. John Wayne is also a favorite of mine. Turner Classic Movies has been having a tribute to The Duke by running many of his films. One of my favorites is In Harm's Way (Navy WWII movie). I thought a little tribute to the Duke was appropriate given May 26 was his 100th birthday. Okay Pilgrims enjoy not only the official website but a biography written by Ronald Reagan himself.

My friend Bill just completed a half-ironman, which on the periodic table of elements makes him aluminum. Last year he ran a marathon. All this at 44 years old. Next to my wife he's probably my best friend and this is really a great accomplishment. Read his blog entry here about the race. Next year I am trying to talk him into doing the Arizona Ironman. It's $475 to register. So I am starting to collect all my pennies to motivate him. Will you do me a favor and congratulate him and encourage him to do a full Ironman? I want to throw water bottles and gels of sugar at him.

Look what $1.71 a day will buy you. There is some immigrant advocate here who thinks this is about reuniting families and that the fine will be a hardship. The same idiot thinks the border doesn't need protecting. If only the reuniting was when they got shipped home and the fine WAS a hardship.
