I'll get back to ya
To All my Friends:
Thanks for continuing to stop by. I haven't been making rounds as we are preparing for the wedding and I start a new job on Mar. 5th. As soon as the wedding is over I'll be making rounds again. Sorry about the stale smell over here.

2007 is a big year for the EB clan, congratulations on the wedding and the new job! I'm sorta in the same boat.......I got a new job (well, a nice promotion), blogging/commenting is taking a back seat for about a week......will have to wait about 18 years or so for my little girl to tie the knot though!
All the best.

Hey, it happens. I was on a coast-wise transit LA to Seattle once and we took some heavy seas, ripped half a dozen of our containers open that had been stacked forward on the port side. One of 'em was US Mail... we had mail all over the deck. It was a mess.

Nope, the Chief Engineer sent me off to fetch a bucket of steam and by the time I got back with it he had a need for a port-side smoke shifter, cause all our stack smoke was blowin' to starboard. It took me over a week to find it, and by then, we were already in port and simply mailed our letters at the mailbox next to the pier.

Be glad they didnt send you for green and blue striped paint. I heard there was a shortage of it due to Al Gore didnt have enough green credits. Whatever the hell those are.

soooooooo - when's the bachelor party?
i hated "common sense" training while in county and state employ! i often wondered, "just HOW boring can they make this?" they never failed...
stun gun and uzi training were fun! although i refused the uzi training - i did learn how israeli schoolchildren could take one apart and put it back together in less than a minute. everyone's a soldier in israel.

Elbronicus,
I regret to inform you that another leadership crises has arisen within the community that requires your attention. I understand that on the day of your daughters wedding, you can refuse a supplicant no favor. So as my "favor", I wish to request your support in the coming negotiations against the Leader pro tempore AoW2. So far, she has refused to disclose any kosher mouth watering recipes suitable for praetorians. So far, her only dietary offer has been "fatwaback". So please register your protest over at longrange and voice whatever support you can for the praetorians. A future gastro-intestinal delight may be at stake!

I caved elbro. I had to. They threatened to hang lacy curtains in my barn. Sorry. Save yourself. There's no telling what hideous designs they're dreaming up for this blog... even as we speak, they're going through design catalogs!

one of my all-time favorites done by leon russell on the "wedding album":
lavender blue (dilly-dilly)
Lavender blue
Dilly-dilly
Lavender green
If I were king
Dilly-dilly
I'd need a queen
Whoa-oh, who told me so
Dilly-dilly
Who told me so
I told myself
Dilly-dilly
I told me so
If your dilly-dilly heart
Feels a dilly-dilly way
If you'll answer yes
In a pretty little church
On a dilly-dilly day
You'll be wed in a dilly-dilly dress of
Lavender blue
Dilly-dilly
Lavender green
Then I'll be king
Dilly-dilly
You'll be my queen
Then I'll be king
Dilly-dilly
You'll be my queen
(Lavender blue, dilly-dilly)
oh, what a happy song! the entire album was truly one of the berry vests of its time!
have a great time tomorrow - don't be your usual stickicus in the muddicus...hehehehe...dang, i wish we were able to crash the party...
