Hey it's nice to be loved
My daughter wrote me a poem for my birthday today. It's nice to be loved. Sorry guys I really did teach her the head nod. It was a great weekend the Navy beat up on the Army, what more could you ask for.
My Daddy
whenever i fell down
he always held my hand
i remember playing at the beach
in the water or the sand
he's the half
that brought me into the world
he's the one that made me
who i am to day
i hope he knows that he's the one
who i most adore
he's that special handsome guy
who i would never abhor
he's always there to get me through
life, and every day
i love to call him
just to say "hey!"
he's the man in my life
the one i look up to
i never want to lose him
ever, it's very very true
i love him to death, you have no idea
i love to hold his hand
he makes me smile
when we listen to funky bands
like b-52's and all that funk
he always cracks me up
he taught me how to do the nod
when guys say "wasup"
i vaguely remember when we said that prayer
the prayer that we said together
i was only five back then
i'm glad we said it together
that prayer that
my daddy helped me say
i thank God for my daddy
i thank him everyday
i never want to hurt my daddy
i never want my daddy to cry
it hurts to see my daddy in pain
i hate when we have to say goodbye
it hurt when he left those days
when he went off to work
it took a while for him to come home
my heart would sometimes hurt
tears of joy would fall down our face
whenever he came home
from those long trips for his job
i'm glad he came safely home
i love you daddy for all you do
i'm your biggest fan
i am very very proud of you
your name should be on a crayon
i love you daddy<3
i'm very proud of you, you are my hero, and that's the truth!

Hey EB, I had to abandon http://eyesallaround.blogspot.com and start a new blog http://living-creatures.blogspot.com. Anyhow, my mother said she went to my old one and there’s a bunch of crazy stuff there now, so delete that address from your blog roll, okay? Thanks a bunch!

Thanks one and all!
My favorite parts are "the b-52's, the nod and my name on a crayon"
nanc - my daughter asked if you were serious?

he said it in front of evan to make her jealous...she feels the same way about him - i think he was trying to get her to write him a poem for no good reason other than she worships the ground he walks on and because he thought your special poem is a beauty!

(tearing up) Girls and their daddies, awww, I wish it weren't so late, I'd call my father to say 'I love you'. Y'know, I was so excited to have a daughter after the 3 boys, I knew my husband deserved the adoration of a little girl - and man is she enamored. He practically walks on water in her eyes...

i'd be willing to bet you still have refrigerator art up since she was four or five? nancpop brushes evan's hair each night before she goes to bed and gives nancson a back massage after. you men are simply amazing - there is no thing better - some women still know that. must come from having good mothers, no?

I do have a lot of stuff that I have kept that they have made me.
my mom is great. after my father passed away she came to live with us..november made nine years since she moved in with us. It's a great blessing.
all the women in my family are amazing though. my sister elmer is one of my best friends, my wife is the most giving person in the world, daughters are one of a kind...they make it easy to be a husband and father...I just have to strive harder to be intentional about it all and not let the time that I have with them slip away.

It's funny about fathers and daughters. Natioal Geographic did a special on cyclones, and spoke to one of the forecasters at the Nat. Hurricane Center, whose wife was having their 4th, a girl after 3 boys. And wahat did this father say?, "A boy makes you a father, but a daughter makes you a daddy."
And I can say my late hovered over our daughter when she was delivered, now I was calling to him, and he never heard me! The two of them could have a conversation with a look! It was spooky, and she got just about anything she wanted from Daddy. And she followed him around, whatever he was doing(hmmm, seems I remember doing that myself)!
Good morning, G*D bless and Maranatha!

Happy Belated Birthday!
Man, that has got to make you feel proud, Now isn't that every father's dream? Reminds me of a song by Sugarland called "Baby Girl". Great job raising the kids, need more like you!
