Someone help Shadak
I got this in an email and thought that if anyone *snicker* snicker* wanted to help this guy I could BWAHAHAHA pass on his contact info. I have some generous friends. I noticed since his family wouldn't help he has moved on to complete strangers.
Sorry about the formatting. I tried to fix it and for some reason it always gets screwed up.
Hope I Can Trust You As you read this, I don't want you to feel sorry for me, because, I believe everyone will die someday. My name is SHADAK SHERIFF a merchant in Dubai, in the U.A.E.I have been diagnosed with Esophageal cancer. It has defiled all forms of medical treatment, and right now. I have only about a few months to live, according to medical experts. I have not particularly Lived my life so well, as I never really cared for anyone (not even myself) but my business. Though I am very rich, I was never generous, I was always hostile to people and only focused on my business as that was the only thing I cared for But now I regret all this as I now know that there is more to life than just wanting to have make all the money in the world. I believe when God gives me a second chance to come to this world I would live my life a different way from how I have lived it. Now that God has called me, I have willed and given most of my property and assets to my immediate and extended family members as well as a few close friends. I want God to be merciful to me and accept my soul so, I have decided to give alms to charity organizations, as IWant this to be one of the last good deeds I do on earth. So far, I have distributed money to some charityorganizations in the U.A.E, Algeria and Malaysia. Now that my health has deteriorated so badly, I cannot do this myself anymore. I once asked members of my family to close one of my accounts and distribute themoney which.I have there to charity organization in Bulgaria and Pakistan; they refused and kept the money tothemselves. Hence, I do not trust them anymore, as they seem not to be contended with what I have left for them. The last of my money which no one knows of is the huge cash deposit of eighteen million dollars $18,000,000,00 that I have with a finance company abroad. I will want you to help me go there and collect this deposit and dispatched it to charity organizations.I have set aside 10% for you and for your time. Please get back to me as soon as possible so that i can furnish youwith the Relevant documents and to get a proof of myself to you.My family are really working to see that this great Dream of mine reaming a thing of Thought. Best regards as I wait Your quick response. God be with you. SHADAK SHERRIF

HAHAHAHAHA!!!!
I finally got the Nigerian scam email last week... It seems hard to believe that anyone on planet Earth could fall for these!
Comment by Brooke— 2006/07/20 @ 07:08 AM — (Reply)
We got the very same one a couple of weeks ago! They come in with about the same frequency as telemarketers - I guess SOMEONE must respond to these scams, or they wouldn't keep sending them.
Or maybe they just want you to open the mail so they can start hacking or something; I'm hideously computer-incompetent, but I hear that good hackers can get very valuable information just from an email that someone has opened.
Comment by cubed— 2006/07/20 @ 11:56 AM — (Reply)
It would have to contain a virus: Another good reason to keep your anti-virus software up-to-date... Or own a Mac.

I sent the "Nigerian" a nasty return email...

if you are a giver to nearly ANY organization, your name will be put on a hit list and you're bound to receive these on a regular basis. however, if you do give regularly to one or two organizations, be sure to tell them that you will cease your giving if they sell your name to anyone.
i feel sorry for the people who are duped by these scams. there are far too many and too many charities who genuinely need our help.
i hope you're feeling better, elbro.

nanc - I have to go through another surgery, so life is not very good right now. Next Tuesday. The stents are worse than the stones. I know there are others suffering worse than I so I really can't complain, but I am tired of it. I hope to get back to more blogging when I feel better.

EB,
I'm so sorry to hear of your troubles with those cursed kidney stones. I have you on my prayer list.
Comment by Always On Watch— 2006/07/21 @ 04:08 PM — (Reply)
what about that laser thing where they submerge you in a tub of water and zap them? i'm sorry for your pain.
Comment by nanc— 2006/07/20 @ 05:21 PM — (Reply)
EB- I'm so sorry! I had hoped that you had gotten past this miserable round! When is the surgery, will put you on the prayer chain at church. There is a new scam out called "vishing" because they have you call a phone# and give secure info to a tape recording. They send official looking websites, i.e. Bank of America, and say there is a problem with your account, if you do what they ask your account will have a problem!
Good morning and G*D bless!

EB, I hope that the procedure Tuesday fixes this problem! I'll pray for 'ya, buddy!
Comment by Brooke— 2006/07/21 @ 02:58 AM — (Reply)
I have had the laser but that didn't work. So I had the sound procedure done once (I have stones in both kidneys) They also installed stents. There is a stone that is still too large too pass so I have to go back for the high powered sound on one kidney.

EB,
I responded to Shadak, he's a nice guy, I filled out the forms and he sent me $1,800,000.
I got the following from a friend should you receive emails from these "scammmes".......The U.S. Secret Service is taking this seriously and has set up a special task force to deal with it called 419 (this is section of the Nigerian penal code which deals with fraud). An article I read said to forward the email to: 419.fcd@usss.treas.gov . However the USSS website says that if you have received a letter, but have not lost money, that you should fax the letter to: (202) 406-5031. The page with information on this is:

OMG! I had no idea you were ill. I'm so sorry. I guess it's a good thing I pray for my friends anyway, eh? I hope all went well. For a guy, kidney stones MUST be more painful. Keep up with the meds, but don't overdue it. lol.

What topics would I like covered? Any, I guess. Whatever comes to Elmer's mind. That is why I come here.
As far as MOS is concerned, he has not been to ALL my sites. He does not know about my cyber-news, my milblog, my Love America First site (stick that in your pipe and smoke it!), and he does not know about my Humanitarian site. Also, he has never been to my Loving God Holy site!
So I'm not worried. If it's boring to him, let it be boring. He has the right to his opinion. I'm not going stop because of it, though
God bless and keep you, Elmer. May He heal you before the doctors get the opportunity. Let them see the Hand of God. :;):

Rosemary - I love all that you do and you cover things very well. There is always something going on at your sites.
I will probably start making more of my rounds next week or so. Family is still in town and we're going to a cabin for the weekend. Now that's where I need prayer. 23 people in one cabin, it's going to be noisy.

Comment by elmers brother— 2006/07/28 @ 01:58 AM — (Reply)
EB- Glad to hear you feel alright! The tired feeling won't be leaving soon, not until everyone goes home! Homeschool will start when I darn well feel like it! In Fla., school starts on Aug. 9th! Not I, my son is "still" working on his GEDprep, should pick up some college credits which will make it easier to enter the Marines! My daughter has dyslexia, so it takes more time, we never really stop! It is a trial at times, even for her! But we manage, certainly glad she isn't in public school, being "labeled" isn't her! She is really smart, remembers what she's been told, but reading is a trial! So, I read her texts a lot, then we go over the spelling...if it isn't one thing, it's 2 dozen others!
Good morning, G*D bless and have a great time this weekend!
