Fatwa - NYT (2nd) and LA Times
Valerie Plame outing blah blah blah breaking her undercover status blah blah blah....(no national security issue there)....financial records....blah blah blah....publics right to know...blah blah blah....give the terrorists a leg up..
F'in Dhimmi's.
"I inform the proud dhimmi people of the world that writers and editors of the NYT and LA Times and all involved in its traitorous revelations, who subscribe to this rag and its general unAmerican activity, are sentenced to a life of appeasement, yellow bellied, red burka wearing dhimmitude."
That's all I gotta say 'bout that.
Signed the Grand Mufti Ayatollah So EB
As always all dhimmis are encouraged to issue their own fatwas.

The Washington Post jumped on board too. All these traitors jockeying for a Pulitzer, or what?
See the perfect graphic about these newspapers HERE.

You're right about technology's leaving behind many of the large dailies. We've alos lost most of the small dailies here in the D.C. area.
No longer do the various retail outlets sell out of daily newspapers, as was once the case in this area. Interestingly enough, the Washington Times moves more rapidly from the shelves of the local 7-11 than the liberal Washington Post.
As a dinosaur, I find it hard to substitute the Internet for the feel of that daily newspaper--particularly with regard to working the crossword puzzle. However, I find myself spending far more time reading the blogs online than combing through the newspaper.

EB,
Boycotts are starting!!! Check out Michelle Malkin.
I lived in LA for 3 years 1997-2000, I only made it through 1 subscription cycle of the LA Times, what a piece of crap that is.

EB: Read my comment again, this time dripping with sarcasm and derision!
I really hope the Times goes out of business, or at least is recognized for the tabloid that it is!

And BTW, the NYT did not offer an alternative view. This wasn't an op-ed piece they published. It was information that directly affected national security interests and informed national enemies of plans and procedures. That's called TREASON.
Just because the NYT hates Bush and opposes his policies doesn't give them license to undermine an ongoing investigation into terrorist entities. I know you think you're fighting for a greater good, Dugg, and you are entitled to think and feel that but to dismiss the wrongfulness of the NYT's act discredits your position. You want to point the finger at the administration but won't acknowledge wrongdoing among those who share your opinion - it reduces your whole argument to partisan politics. You are better than that.

Cheap ink! For the price of the paper or the subscription, you'd think they could do better.

"Bank Data Is Sifted by U.S. in Secret to Block Terror" - New York Times headline
"But the program isn't secret, what's the big deal?" - New York Times editors explaining that they aren't journalists and they don't actually work for a newspaper.
