Myths of the Anti-Bush Church
H/T Joe Gringo... good post Joe
Hugh Hewitt has this today on how Peter Wehner hits the mark in outlining the left's mythology of Iraq.
The foundation myths of the Anti-Bush Church:
*The president misled Americans to convince them to go to war.
*The Bush administration pressured intelligence agencies to bias their judgments.
*Because weapons of mass destruction stockpiles weren't found, Saddam posed no threat.
*Promoting democracy in the Middle East is a postwar rationalization.
Wehner explodes each in turn and in quick fashion. Read the whole thing.
And then add in Ralph Peter's "Defeating Terror." (HT: RealClearPolitics.)

it's sad to belong to a party where you believe if you tell enough lies, you'll get people to believe them! Pathetic.

It is, isn't it?
Dems celebrate at the country's misfortune: Percieved bad days in Iraq, the DOW going down, gas prices going up... They celebrate when the country does has a bad day, all in the hopes of regaining the Congress and White House.
I don't want those sorts of people in power!

Thanks for that mate. it was a most interesting read. I think I might even print it out for future reference.

The Anti-Bush church on Iraq has run out of solutions and alternatives. I must say though, I have lately joined the Anti-Bush church on immigration.
He claims his proposal isn't amnesty--reading the senate version of the bill sure does sound like it to me.

Florian I am afraid MOST of our elected officials are pandering and I am sick of it. I agree with you about Bush and immigration, but he's not the only one of our elected officials to abandon the conservative cause.

This appears to be an issue they can't win.

My position from the beginning is not give the illegals citizenship status but to give them taxpayer status. It simply is not practical to kick them out. The idea of walling future illegals out is a pipedream.
In the meantime, our "news" shows are providing distractions like the polygamist on the top ten most wanted list. What was flying under the radar back when the David Koresh Waco deal was going down? Were we distracted then too?
There are several "messes" in the world that virtually defy solution. You have to believe that if any African country was our neighbor, they would be hurtling in by the truckload. Why? The possibility of a better life. What possibility exists for aids infested Africa?
It's only a matter of time until Pakistan, India, North Korea, an old Soviet Republic or Iran commits a nuclear miscalculation. It won't be China. It won't be the US.
The middle east and the holy land. Like that issue will ever be solved.
The last real decision making President was Teddy Roosevelt. Things got done then that still exist today. Just look at the National Parks for example. Since then, Presidents have had as a goal getting through their terms without "trouble" and even that is close to impossible.
Maybe it is simply time to realize and accept that some things have no solution and continue to live a happy life.
sheethead pino is still entrenched at Kent State. millardo is entrenched in the INS. Both will get taxpayer funded pensions superior to those of the taxpayers themselves. And have the nerve to derogate the system that gives them so much.
As someone once said...it's time to move on and move out. Focus inwardly one what and who is important to each of us and take care of business at home. January 2008 will be the time to gear up and support the lesser of two evils (both working for the same people ironically).

Cate - I heard Snow on Hannity last week same bs
Barry, I appreciate your point, I just refuse to give in that easily. It feels to nihilistic. As for Pino, his pension will only serve him in this life, not the next.
Millard - she's nothing more than a noisy gong, I Cor. 13

1. Bush is a christian - He's really a Skull and Bones member who attends Bohemian Grove every year to participate in the cremation of care.
2. Bush was given faulty intelligence about WMD - - We're still in Iraq aren't we?
3. Osama = Sadaam - - Uh....no. Most of the phony terrorists (most of whom are still alive) in the official 911 "story" were from Saudi Arabia. None were Iraqi's.
4. 911 was done by boxcutter weilding terrorists - WATCH LOOSE CHANGE 911!!!!!!!
