I just went through sexual harrasment training at work, doesn't this kid know anything. It's nice to know kids are starting to prepare for college at such an early age. Who knew?

from Opinion Journal

Zero-Tolerance Watch
A 6-year-old boy has been suspended from school for "sexual harassment," reports the Enterprise of Brockton, Mass.:

[The] boy was suspended from his Brockton elementary school for three days last week after officials said he put two fingers inside a girl's waistband, touching her skin, during a class. . . .

Berthena Dorinvil, the boy's mother, said he does not know what sexual harassment is and in the wake of the Downey school's action, she wants him transferred to another school.

As an expert on the subject once said, "Did you know that when one little panda pulls on another little panda's underwear, that's sexual harassment? That makes me a sa-a-a-a-ad panda."

  1. Can you imagine what they would have done in my elementary school where little girls generally wore dresses and the boys celebrated the coming of the weekend with "Flip-up Friday". There are several hundred boys in my hometown (and probably many more) who have seen every variety of girls panties ever manufactured.

By the way, it never occurred to us that there was anything inappropriate about the whole ordeal. We girls simply hated the boys for teasing us mercilessly and flipping our skirts up - we routinely found ways to get back at them (without touching them of course, because eww yuck! who would touch a boy on purpose) LOL.

It's so sad that we have forced our adult issues onto these young kids who are now losing their innocence earlier and earlier.

  4. you didn't miss anything Barry, it's always the same people in those videos. There was some music, candlelight and the plot was bad but otherwise 'quite' enjoyable.

  6. You need to change jobs, Barry. Sexual harrassment training where I work is actually included in the benefit package.

  9. Sexual harrasment...:roll:I don't think I even knew what sex was in the first grade.

When I worked in the ER, we would get drunks and flat-out jerks(of all ages) whom you would catch looking down your scrub top, making lewd comments; some would even try to grab us!

We had our ways of stopping such bad behavior!

If it didn't include some of Barry White's songs and a bottle of Courvoisier. I don't want to know.

  11. What can I add to this lively conversation? Let me see...How about the fact that we are destroying the males in our country, be they men or boys? No wonder there is more crime. If a man is not allowed to be a man, he will take out his manliness in ways that are inappropriate. For cying out loud...

  12. Rosemary, I think you are right. To some extent the media has to take some responsibility.

  13. Here, here! If boys came from intact homes where there is a father to guide them to manhood, and girls weren't force fed the tripe of NOW, that they don't need a man for anything but sperm, we would all be more well-adjusted!

Simply put, each sex needs the other to function properly. This is not a deficiancy, but a simple fact of design!

  15. I don't know what scares me more.....what they did to that poor kid, or that there is such a thing as "Sexual Harrasment Training". Who can you practice on? How do you know if you pass? Can you suck up to the teacher??
