Jihadists need a Media Consultant
I guess some Muslims in Indonesia are concerned (read more like offended) about the reputation of "jihad". You know you wouldn't want to give anyone the wrong impression or somehow change the definition. So car bombings in Indonesia is not part of Jihad because it's not in a "combat zone". Hmmm... I think somebody needs to look up the definition of "dead innocent civilians" BECAUSE THAT HASN'T CHANGED. Anyone interested in becoming a media consultant for these guys?
from Jihad Watch
Why not? Because they target civilians, and that is immoral? No -- because Indonesia is "not a combat zone." So presumably such ops are just fine in Israel, Britain, Spain, the U.S., and elsewhere. "Indonesia: Suicide bombings 'not jihad' say hard-liners," from AKI, with thanks to the Constantinopolitan Irredentist:
Jakarta, 5 Dec. (AKI/Jakarta Post) - Islamic hard-line groups have joined a chorus of condemnation in Indonesia and elsewhere in the world against militants who used suicide bombings to wage Jihad - or holy war - in the world's most populous Muslim country. At a seminar over the weekend, the groups called for a dialogue between them and other Muslim leaders, along with the government to discuss the issues surrounding Jihad, claiming US president George W. Bush's 'war on terror' has tarnished their image.

"So car bombings in Indonesia is not part of Jihad because it's not in a "combat zone". "
Technicall speaking they are correct.
Indonesia is recognized as Dharb al Islam and so a little explosion or a suicide bombimg can be classified as "execution of sharia" rather than "jihad".

You have to admire the convolutions Islamists must take to remember who is the House of War. And another great article from Jihad Watch to bring these mind blowing antics to our attention.

EB,
This is probably something that doesn't bother "good Muslims".

On radio today I heard the Indonesian Minister of Justice advising Australians not to be overly emotional, should some of "The Bali Nine" face the firing squad. All this in light of Australians reaction to the Singapore hanging of a drug mule.
He opined that Australians would be better served "coming to an understanding of Asian law".
I would like to thank this erstwhile Member, and say here that I think he is right.
Indonesia has given Australia a lot more that is worthy of thought and consideration than the execution of drug offenders.
I hope Australians are listening. Every Aussie needs to know, "What is the opposite of Dharb al Islam?"

drug dealers are criminals in violation of laws...terrorists are immoral nonpersons who deserve death sans trial...terrorists who sell drugs are still terrorists....it is important to see who is who
