I love the National Guard

@ 05:36 PM (49 months, 17 days ago)

Cindy Sheehan the left (progressives), and the "weak little candy asses" be damned. There are people in this country who get it and they are serving in droves despite the hardship, despite the danger and in spite of the lefties. Proud to be an American!

The Salt Lake Tribune has a wonderful quote from First Lt. Bruce Bishop, a 31-year-old fireman, who explains that he plans to re-enlist in the Utah National Guard "because as I look around at the state of this nation and see all of the weak little pampered candy-asses that are whining about this or protesting that, I'd be afraid to leave the fate of this nation entirely up to them."

  1. I love to hear about those who truly love our country and choose to serve to save it from the "weak little candy asses".

  2. I don't know if you've ever had a chance to check out this site, but they've had some hilarious comments on Cindy Sheehan.
Talk about becoming an American joke. I feel sorry for her son and his unit.

  4. Casey Sheehan gave his life for what he thought was the right thing to do and now you people shit all over his mother and his name. Shame on you. While your at it, perhaps you should go visit his grave and piss on it, too. My mother disagreed with me and the war when I signed up. I've fought in two conflicts, wounded three times, for the love of this country and people like you call themselve's patriots by trashing a fallen hero. You make me puke. Stop being cowards, prove to me you love this country and are willing to die for it, join the Marines. You'll learn how to eat peanuts from your own shit and love it. Fucking maggots, you are pseudo-patriots and will continue to hide behind your words.

  5. I did! I served for twenty years, just retired, including combat in Iraq. It's not us who is pissing on Casey's grave, it's his mother. She has been represented by leftists groups who have attacked military recruiting offices and support terrorist groups. So...who is pissing on who's grave. Not me! I honor those who have fallen and if you look around on my blog you will see many instances where I have honored their sacrifice. Next time take a harder look.

Anonynmous: It seems that the only people pissing on Casey Sheehan's grave is his mother and those idiots from MoveOn.org, Code Pink, and the other vile groups that she has aligned herself with.

Casey Sheehan was a brave man who volunteered and joined the service and he died for his country. His mother and those vile groups she is with have been slandering his good name and are discounting the bravery he showed and the sacriface he made. They are the ones pissing on his grave. Cindy Sheehan is the one shitting on his grave, not the people like me who look in awe at the brave men and women who have willingly served our country and those who died while doing so.

Great comment Seawitch and thanks to all who serve.

  11. No longer anonymous. You haven't proved to me that you would be willing to die for this country. And you say your in awe of all us that have served and died? Meet me on the battlefield you little piss ant and prove you've got the balls to kill and be killed. I've earned the right to be called a Marine, the few and the proud, OohRah. People are dying every day to protect your freedoms, yet you still bring dishonor to a fallen comrades mother. Three things are important to me, God, country and my Mother. My mother, who brought me into to this shithole of a world happens to agree with Cindy Sheehan and I respect her for taking a political stand. How exactly is she slandering and discounting the bravery of her lost son, by protesting a war? Protesting is one of the freedoms, which I'll fight and die for. Like I said, people like you are cowards. Semper Fidelis mother fuckers.

  12. She has aligned herself with people who support those who killed her son. I admire and appreciate your sacrifice and service, but you do not have a monopoly nor are you the final arbiter on who is brave. Sure it's ok for her to protest but when she says that America is not worth fighting for and I take issue with that. If you are as patriotic as you say you are you would take issue with that also.

  13. Casey also reenlisted after the war started and as others have commented was everything his mother is against. A true class act. Another comment I read which seems appropriate here is this:

Didn’t Sheehan jnr understand that by joining the military:

    1) He might be called on to fight a war.

    2) He may not necessarily agree with that war - but would still have to fight anyhow.

    3) It was not compulsory for him to join - he was free to get a job elsewhere.

If he didn’t understand these obvious facts, where was Mama Sheehan in explaining the facts of life to Junior before he signed up?

I imagine Sheehan Jnr might well have been braver than his mother gives him credit for - sadly, he isn’t here to say so. His mother’s rantings do his memory no justice

  14. I find it hard to believe you question my patriotism. I sympathize with Mrs. Sheehan. She feels strongly about her position, and she has every right in the world to say what she believes. This is America. She has a right to her position, and I thought long and hard about her position. I've heard her position from others, which is: Get out of Iraq now. It would be a mistake for the security of this country and the ability to lay the foundations for peace in the long run if we were to do so.

  15. It's not your patriotism, it's your judgement in people. The statement is rhetorical. You don't have a problem with what she said? Becasuse you serve our country your answer is obvious, therefore it's your read on Mrs. Sheehan I don't understand. The minute she entered the public arena protesting the war we also had the right to question her motives and the ones of those supporting her.

As I pointed out it's not her stand against the war, yes she has a right to that. It's not her protesting, she has a right to disagree. It's her relationship with groups that support people who are working to kill our soldiers..which includes her son, you, myself and others who have served.

oh and yes I feel for her and her loss, but unlike Maureen Dowd I don't believe that loss gives her absolute moral authority.

BTW you were the one who initially questioned my patriotism and if my 20 years in the Navy doesnt' satisfy you, that's too bad.

  16. It's obvious that you don't pay attention to detail, especially to the the words of our 'Commander in Chief'. You should read 'The Stars and Stripes' more often.

" I sympathize with Mrs. Sheehan. She feels strongly about her position, and she has every right in the world to say what she believes. This is America. She has a right to her position, and I thought long and hard about her position. I've heard her position from others, which is: 'Get out of Iraq now'. Statement given by President George W. Bush on August 11, 2005

Sir, we have nothing further to discuss. There are more important issues we face than to denounce the morality, whether it's right or wrong, of a grieving mother and her political affiliation. I have no interests in demonizing the people who support her, who you claim are supporting the enemy and are out to kill us. In unrealistic terms, perhaps, I should execute my staunch Republican mother/family and millions of others who support the military, but do not support the reason for going to war. I'm beginning to think that the enemy is from within. I have a job to perform and do not let politics get in the way of my sworn duty to protect ALL the citizens of this GREAT country, it's security and constitutional principles. It's an honor and a privilege to serve.

Next time you have a discussion with a true patriot, I suggest that you be a little more prepared and don't believe everything you hear in the media. I take leave and shall not return here. Oh, thank you for the 20 years of sweat between the balls.

Sir, out of courtesy, I salute you. God bless America. OohRah !

  17. The enemy is from within but it's not me. I am not sure what you don't understand about "she has a rightto protest etc.

God Bless you, my family and I owe youa debt.
