Ground Zero

Spent the weekend in New York City and took this picture at Ground Zero. Seeing the site seemed to bring the war into sharper focus. Later I took a harbor cruise and saw the Statue of Liberty. There is a stark contrast between the two. On the one hand there are those who wish to destroy us and our way of life, on the other is the promise of freedom for all. That's what has made America so attractive to those who come here. There is another contrast between the hope of the cross of Christ and the despair of living under Taliban like tyranny.

  2. Thank you for the picture. 9/11 was a pivotal moment in my life, as I am sure it was in countless others. It is vital that we do not allow people to forget or to blame us (the west) for this digrace.
