The Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam (and the Crusades)

@ 05:24 AM (33 months, 25 days ago)
This book is available from Human Events

REVEALED, at long last: the whole "politically incorrect" truth about Islam's violent teachings, bloody history, backward culture, and morally depraved founder.
PLUS: Why the Crusades were justified wars of Christian self-defense against centuries of Muslim aggression by Robert Spencer (Jihad Watch)

When PC propagandists assure us that jihadist terror doesn't reflect "true," "peaceful" Islam, they're not only wrong, they're dangerous -- because they lull America and the West into letting their guard down against their mortal enemy. And not only do self-appointed "experts" lie elaborately and persistently about Islam -- they have also replaced the truth about Christian Europe and the Crusades with an all-pervasive historical fantasy that is designed to make you ashamed of your own culture and heritage -- and thus less determined to defend it. But now there's a remedy: in The Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam (and the Crusades), Robert Spencer reveals all the disturbing facts about Islam and its murderous hostility to the West that other books ignore, soft-pedal -- or simply lie about.

Know Thine Enemy Pt 2

@ 06:30 PM (34 months, 3 days ago)

From Faith Freedom
A thorough study of the
Quran and Hadith reveal an Islam that is not being presented honestly by the Muslim propagandists and is not known to the majority of the people of the world including Muslim themselves. Islam, as it is taught in the Quran (Koran) and lived by Muhammad, as is reported in the Hadith (Biography and sayings of the Prophet) is a religion of Injustice, Intolerance, CrueltyAbsurditiesdiscriminationContradictions, and blind faith. Islam advocates killing the non-Muslims and abuses the human rights of  minorities and women. Islam expanded mostly by Jihad (holy war) and forced its way by killing the non-believers. In Islam apostasy is the biggest crime punishable by death.  Muhammad was a terrorist himself therefore terrorism cannot be separated from the true Islam. Islam means submission and it demands from its followers to submit their wills and thoughts to Muhammad and his imaginary Allah. Allah is a deity that despises reason, democracy, freedom of thought and freedom of expression.

I reject Islam a) because of Muhammad’s lack of moral and ethical fortitude and b) because of the absurdities in the Quran.

a) Muhammad lived a less than holy life. His lust for sex, his affairs with his maids and slave girls, his pedophilic relationship at age 54 with Aisha, a 9-year-old child, his killing sprees, his massacre and the genocide of the Jews, his slave making and trading, his assassination of his opponents, his raids and lootings of the merchant caravans and unarmed villagers, his burning of trees, his destroying the water wells, his cursing and invoking evil on his enemies, his revenge on his captured prisoners of war, his torturing of his captives to for greed and his hallucinations such as believing of having sex with his wives when he actually did not, disqualify him as a sane person let alone a messenger of God

  b) An unbiased study of the Quran shows that far from being a “miracle”, that book is a hoax. The Quran is replete with scientific heresies, historic blunders, mathematical mistakes, logical absurdities, grammatical errors and ethical fallacies. Could possibly the author of this Universe be as ignorant as it appears to be in the Quran?

Quran tells Muslims to kill the disbelievers wherever they find them (2:191), murder them and treat them harshly (9:123), slay them (9:5), fight with them (8:65 ), strive against them with great endeavor (25:52), be stern with them because they belong to hell (66:9) and strike off their heads; then after making a “wide slaughter among them, carefully tie up the remaining captives” for ransom ;47:4).

This is how the pagans are to be treated. As for the Christians and the Jews, the order is to subdue them and impose on them a penalty tax, after humiliating them (9:29) and if they resist, kill them.

"Unfortunately many people fail to realize (or remember) that terror is targeting the human civilization without discrimination and although some attacks may seem connected with specific conflicts, the reality remains that terror is waging a full scale war against our way of living whether we're actually living it or dreaming of it or in a broader way; any other way of living that doesn't match their vision."

Quote of the Day

@ 11:41 AM (34 months, 4 days ago)

Quote of the Day

"The killers always allege particular gripes -- Australian troops in Iraq, Christian proselytizing, Hindu intolerance, occupation of the West Bank, theft of Arab petroleum, the Jews, attacks on the Taliban, the 15th-century reconquest of Spain, and, of course, the Crusades. But in most cases -- from Mohamed Atta, who crashed into the World Trade Center, to Ahmed Sheik, the former London School of Economics student who planned the beheading of Daniel Pearl, to Magdy Mahmoud Mustafa el-Nashar, the suspected American-educated bomb-maker in London -- the common bond is not poverty, a lack of education or legitimate grievance. Instead it is blind hatred instilled by militant Islam" -- historian Victor Davis Hanson, writing in the Washington Times

More Low Order Detonations

I am very glad to see that AQ’s British cell has been embarrassingly ineffective considering the potential carnage that they may have wrought. By my count, a total of 10 demolition charges have been found or detonated in London this month. Four charges went high order and killed more than 50 Brits (still 50 too many-EB). Two were found undetonated on July 7th, and four more were low order detonations today. That is a 60% failure rate. If 50 innocent people were killed by four “successful” charges, then the poor preparation of the six faulty devices may have spared at least 75 additional lives.

Soldiers re-enlist beyond U.S. goal

@ 03:07 PM (34 months, 8 days ago)

Finally the media reported what those of us who were in or are in were already aware of. Those who have been serving are continuing to serve. Part of it is some extra bonuses, but it's also because soldiers believe in what they are doing as the column states. Hardly what the MSM would want you to here but re-enlistment rates indicate that those who are taking the fight to the enemy understand what's at stake here. It's our very civilization, and the murderous thugs who commit these atrocious acts must be stopped.

Withdrawal from reality

@ 02:43 PM (34 months, 9 days ago)

from Chrenkoff

I'm getting slightly bored with arguments that the American presence in Iraq is causing terrorism, both in Iraq and overseas. If only the US troops would withdraw, the argument goes, the terrorism would stop. Well, it seems that together with the US troops, we would also have to withdraw from Iraq Iraqi children and presumably the mainly Shia gas station patrons.

Support for Bin Laden in Muslim World Waning

@ 10:23 AM (34 months, 11 days ago)

From opinionjournal.com

Squandered Sympathy
"Support for Osama bin Laden and suicide bombings have fallen sharply in much of the Muslim world, according to a multicountry poll released on Thursday," Reuters reports. The Pew Research Center survey covered Morocco, Pakistan, Turkey, Indonesia, Jordan and Lebanon, and only in Jordan had sympathy for bin Laden increased since 2003:

In Morocco, 26 percent of the public now say they have a lot or some confidence in bin Laden, down from 49 percent in a similar poll two years ago.

In Lebanon, where both Muslims and Christians took part in the survey, only 2 percent expressed some confidence in the Saudi-born al Qaeda leader, down from 14 percent in 2003.

In Turkey, bin Laden's support has fallen to 7 percent from 15 percent in the past two years. In Indonesia, it has dropped to 35 percent from 58 percent.

Bin Laden had the sympathy of the world after 9/11, and he squandered it. Just pissed it away in the name of foolish foreign adventures! He must be ruing the day he ever went into Iraq.

@ 11:16 AM (34 months, 14 days ago)

Making something out of nothing. Valerie Plame had not been undercover for 9 years prior to this and she had already been outed by home grown spy Aldrich Ames. She was brought back to the States to protect her. She shows up at White House parties with her husband (very public), etc. She was working a desk at Langley. Nobody from the agency even threatened Bob Novak when he was going to reveal her name. Anybody with half a brain knows the libs are desperate to get rid of Rove. He's gotten the President reelected and they know they are not going to make any gains in 2006.

Whoops! Says the New York Times

@ 03:53 PM (34 months, 19 days ago)

Whoops!
Today's New York Times carries the following "editors' note":

The Op-Ed page in some copies yesterday carried an incorrect version of an article about military recruitment. The writer, an Army reserve officer, did not say, "Imagine my surprise the other day when I received orders to report to Fort Campbell, Ky., next Sunday," nor did he characterize his recent call-up to active duty as the precursor to a "surprise tour of Iraq." That language was added by an editor and was to have been removed before the article was published. Because of a production error, it was not. The Times regrets the error.

There's nothing improper about an editor adding language to a writer's article, so long as the writer sees and approves it beforehand; and the Times editors seem to have made an honest mistake in failing to prevent the objectionable language from appearing. But seeing what the editors wanted the author to say does provide a window into their worldview.

But as FDD Senior Fellow Andrew McCarthy has pointed out, the 9/11 Commission specifically acknowledged that there was evidence of ties -- they drew a distinction, however, between such ties and "operational" cooperation.
